Helping those in need,
one meal & one wheel at a time.

We’re in your community,
riding for good.
Meals on Onewheels is a direct action project fueled by community economics. We are a passionate community of Onewheel enthusiasts who have come together to provide essentials and hot meals to our unhoused neighbors in our communities.

Here’s how we do it
Each month, we collect, prepare and distribute meals and essential care items to our unhoused neighbors. A typical event feeds and provides supplies to over 200 individuals in need. This is made possible through collaboration and support from our collaborators, vendors and most importantly – you!
Step 1: Gather Donations
Prior to an event, we request various types of donations including monetary, clean and gently used clothing, and sanitary supplies.
We provide instructions on where to drop donations off at different community locations depending on the event area and city.
Monetary donations go toward purchasing food and supplies for each event. 100% of all donations go toward outreach supplies. Our volunteers are in no way financially compensated.

Step 2: Prepare at the Event
On the day of the event, our collaborators, volunteer riders and helpers meet to discuss the mission for the day. We also review safety topics, assign roles, and prepare the event location.
Public health is extremely important to our volunteers as well as our donation recipients. Our riders are required to wear face coverings and gloves while interacting with each other and community members.
Our volunteers break into groups, each handling different tasks including food preparation, donation bag building, and event coordination.

Step 3: Ride and Give
With the first batch of donation bags completed, our collaborator leads the initial wave of riders out to pre-planned locations of unhoused community members. Each rider can carry between one and four donation bags.
Unlike other similar types of donation drives, we travel by Onewheel to our community members in need at speeds up to 20MPH, making the process of distributing the bags incredibly efficient.
Our collaborator of rider volunteers are always led by a Meals on Onewheels group ride liaison and must follow traffic laws as well as be courteous to pedestrians encountered during each ride.
After dropping off the donation bags, our riders return back to home base to repeat the process until all bags have been distributed. The mobile outreaches typically take two to three turns to complete.

Step 4: Group Ride
For each event, we collaborate with a local Onewheel group to lead a fun group ride following a short break after the outreach portion of the event. The break usually involves raffles, games and activities for volunteers while we recharge.
The group ride gives our volunteers a chance to explore and appreciate the scenery of each city we visit, lead by locals, on a pre-planned route. Riders are welcome to participate in just the outreach ride, group ride, or both!

We’re passionate about what we do
Meals on Onewheels is made possible through the collaboration of efforts, talent, creativity and love from an entire community.

Meet Our Crew
We’re a group of Onewheel enthusiasts working together to do good in our communities. Meet the crew that brings it all together.
How It Started
Eve and Mike met at @TheWheelArea // @Float_Addicts Mega Ride in San Francisco, CA in August 2020. Both were new to the group ride scene and instantly fell in love with the Onewheel community. So many good vibes and people; it felt like home. Mike reached out to Eve and asked her to check out the food outreaches he was doing because he wanted to further humanize the process of giving back. He enjoyed a video she created after the Mega Ride and asked her if she could create a promotion video for @MyriadOutreachProject. Eve asked, “Why don’t we deliver your resource bags and food on Onewheels?” Meals on Onewheels have been preparing and distributing “I Love You Packs” to unhoused community members since November 2020. The rest is history.
